Asia SEED, since the establishment of its predecessor, the Japan-Indonesia Science and Technology Forum (JIF) in 1984, has consistently engaged in activities aimed at supporting human resource development in many countries, primarily in Asia, and promoting exchanges with Japanese higher education and research institutions. Over the 40 years since its establishment, the world has undergone rapid changes, such as the advancement of globalization, information technology innovation, and the respect for diversity in the international community, and the challenges we face have evolved accordingly.

Asia SEED has adapted to these changing times and has provided flexible and forward-looking support. Leveraging its strong network with governments and educational institutions in various countries, our organization has focused on supporting overseas studies, strengthening university research capabilities, and developing and consulting on cooperative programs that meet the educational and human resource development needs of foreign countries.

In recent years, in response to the diversification of needs, we have expanded our activities beyond Asia and have also taken on challenges such as the dissemination of Japanese-style holistic education curriculums, not limited to higher education.

Asia SEED, by utilizing the expertise and flexible thinking acquired through its diverse international cooperation activities, will continue to contribute to solving increasingly complex human resource development challenges, while making continuous efforts towards creating new value.
